More Updates

Although I can't post pictures, I can post this. Here are some updates on how the kids are doing. Ella is an amazing little girl. She is able to walk around the whole house without help. Ella can stand up by herself in the middle of the room, bend over at the waist and pick up a toy without falling and now she is trying to jump.  She stands on the mattress on the floor in the basement and bounces up and down on her feet. Ella watches Ethan do this every day. She is trying to grow up so fast! Ella is also giving Mommy kisses. I LOVE that part, it's my favorite!!! Ella is also sick for the first time. She had a fever of 103.4 this morning. Coughed through the night last night and had a runny nose. Poor girl is on antibiotics as the doctor was worried about the time of day she had the high fever, her lungs and the order in which the symptoms appeared. Ella is doing extremely well for not feeling so good. She has hardly complained, but doesn't want to eat very much. Get better soon Ella!

Ethan is making us laugh all the time. He says thing like: "that was awesome," it's OK honey," "not right now, maybe later," "come sit down and eat Daddy," "love you, see you later," and "thank you for dinner Mommy."

Life is very busy here but we are having a good time. Ethan and Ells like to dance to the music while Mommy is doing aerobics. That's too cute! It's too bad I am busy while they are doing it and can't get a picture.

A Day at the Zoo

Every little girl has to have some leopard print pants right?

Ethan thinks Ella's new 'truck' and helmet are for him t play with. Every day. All day. Though, he does let her play with it when she is interested in it. After a pep talk from mom...

 Ethan and the big turtle.

Ella staring at the fish. In front of her to her left at the bottom is a tiger shark.

Ethan told me he was going to put the shark in his tummy.

Yes I see you cute girl!

Wow Ethan!

Ethan told Mommy and Daddy this morning of his plans for the day. I thought I would share them with you. Ethan said: "I am going to push my big buddon and fy around the kitchen, then downstairs, frou the wiving woom. It will be too wowed and you have to cover your e-ars." Translated: I am going to push my big button and fly around the kitchen, then downstairs, through the living room. It will be too loud and you have to cover your ears. Ahh.. Thanks Buzz for making this all possible!

Oh My, Miss Ella

As some of you know, we are remodeling our basement. Today I was filling all the nail holes while the kids played with their toys. Some of our toys are play tools that Grandpa Glen and Grandma Dinky gave Ethan for Christmas. Both Ethan and Ella are equally fond of them. Since they are not allowed to 'fix' the walls with their tools, the floors and the stairs are fair game. Ethan and Ella were fixing the stairs together for a while, but then Ethan moved on to play with some other toys. Ella, on the other hand, continued to 'fix' the stairs for quite some time. I went to go check on her and found her halfway up the stairs. She never cried and she was not scared. If you remember, not that long ago Ella went superman style down the stairs.  She has no fear. First she walks, then she learned how to climb the stairs. Ella, my dear, what happened to my baby? You are supposed to be a baby, how are you a baby if you are walking and climbing stairs? Guess it's time to go and get a new baby gate for the bottom of the stairs!

Ella, Ella, Ella

A couple of weeks ago Ella took a couple of steps. On Monday it was five or six steps. Two days ago she took eight steps. Today Ella pretty much walked across the floor with thirteen steps!! Ella is walking. She has even tried to change directions while standing. Ella hasn't been completely successful in this arena, but she is getting close.

We went to the doctor yesterday to have Ella checked out as she is coughing, has a constant runny nose, a bad bum and having trouble breathing, especially at night. She just has a cold, as I figured, but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't in her lungs, an ear infection or something worse. Ella is, as the doctor put it yesterday, "six months ahead of her time. She thinks she is a toddler!" Ella, Ella, Ella, what am I going to do with you when you are a toddler?!?! The doctor also stated that Ella's language comprehension is also about six months ahead too. Again I ask, Ella what am I going to do with you when you are two?!?!

Green Grass

I couldn't help but change my blog background to green grass and blue sky. I long for the days when the kids can go outside without bundling up or having to worry about the temperature or windchill. We have been stuck inside with runny noses and the occasional cough since Christmas. We do have lots of room in the soon to be completed basement filled with new toys from Santa, grandma's, grandpa's, Auntie's and Uncle's. But to open the door and just run outside won't come soon enough.

Many Holidays

 What a face!

On Christmas Eve we had the kids open one present before we left for the Boyd's. The kids were co cute in their Christmas outfits. Ethan and I practiced singing Happy Birthday to Jesus a bunch of times before we left. There is always a birthday cake for Jesus at the Boyd's and I remember when I was young I got to blow out the candles. This year Ethan and Ella were able to blow them out.
