What a Day!

Yesterday was a beautiful spring afternoon. Both kids were outside playing with all the toys they haven't seen all winter long. Ethan was riding his bike all over the yard and driveway. I was checking on Ella when I heard a terrible scream. I ran to Ethan and he was laying on the ground with his tricycle and a mouth full of blood. As it turns out he most likely hit his lip and front tooth on the bike on his way down. Ethan was a trooper. He calmed down quickly and helped to stop the bleeding. Ethan also got the feel better treatment which included ice cubes, movies and Popsicles. 


Today Ethan went to the dentist to get it checked out and did remarkably well. I think it all still hurts a little as he has been sensitive during some parts of the day. Other times, he is running and jumping all over everywhere as usual.

Missing tooth

I did finally find the tooth today while out looking in the rain. It is a beautiful little white tooth. I am glad I found it as it is Ethan's first tooth. Maybe the tooth fairy will come to our house soon?!? Ethan will get his next tooth in a couple of years, until then he gets to have some fun with straws!

Ella has two more teeth as of yesterday! Wow, all of the sudden teeth are coming out like crazy!!!

Quick Update

Today I saw Ella's new teeth; numbers 3 and 4. This explains all the crankiness we have seen from her in the last week. Yea Ella! Soon you can eat carrots like your big brother instead of just gumming them.

Ethan and Ella Sayings

Ella is now saying 'uh-oh.' She says it all the time, for everything. especially for things that are definitely not an 'uh-oh.' We thing she also said pizza, read this and Bri-coe for Briscoe. What a girl.


Ethan has been making us laugh like crazy lately. Some thing happened recently, the incident I have forgotten , but Ethan's reaction I have not. Just after the unknown episode, Ethan stated "Oh my goodness!" It was absolutely adorable!

Ethan sayings

Ethan has been saying some pretty funny things these last couple of days. For instance, Tim said something dumb and I told Ethan that his Daddy is a genius. Ethan replied very loudly, "NO!! Daddy is not a genius, he is a Daddy!!" He has also been saying things like "I am a lion," and "I get you with my laser." Which by the way is blue, not red like Buzz Lightyear's. 


Lately he has been into 'bad guys.' Everyone is a 'bad guy' and Ethan says he is going to hit them or he is mad at them. It's a good thing 'bad guys' are not allowed in my house. We keep telling Ethan that we will keep him safe, but it seems Ethan thinks he is here to keep us safe. What a cutie!


The best part is after every meal or even sometimes before we eat, Ethan says, "Thank you Mommy for making dinner." It's SO  wonderful to hear that. Thank you to Daddy for teaching Ethan to say kind words everyday. My favorite saying of all times from Ethan is "I love you too Mommy!" Who could resist that?

 This happens often at our house. 

Ethan is tickling Ella. When I took Ella off, they both cried. When I put Ella back onthe chair with Ethan, they both smiled and laughed! It's a good thing they mostly like each other.

Ella's Words

Ella has been saying more and more words every day. I am not going to try to spell out what she actually says, but these are the words she says and are recognizable enough to understand. Ella can say 'bye bye, kitty cat, please, more, baby, and cheese.' I am lucky enough to have her repeat some of the words to me a couple times over again too. Ella is so cute when she says her new words too. What a smile as she can now say words that I understand!
